| THE TRAVEL NURSE JOB!Well, I've been promising to tell you about my travel nurse job for weeks now so I better get on with it!I have a friend from work, Kerrie!?She and I started on the graduate program at St Andrews Hospital together at the beginning of 2006!?Well, actually, I started a month after Kerrie because I was on unpaid sick leave due to my fractured collar bone (but that is a story for another day)!?ANYWAY!?I was saying to Kerrie that I have often thought about doing some country nursing.?I've?often wondered about the country lifestyle and also wondered about working in a country hospital too!?I told Kerrie that I was going to ring an agency and see about doing a short contract.?Surprisingly Kerrie thought that sounded like a pretty cool idea and she said she was?interested in?joining me!?That was great because I think this little adventure?will be a whole lot funner with someone cool to share the experience with!So the other week, Kerrie and I jumped in the chick-racer and went to meet a few agencies!?We decided to go with Nursing Agency Australia!?They are paying us $400 worth of sign-on bonuses.?They are also?organising and funding our flights and accommodation and they pay about $7/hour more than we usually make!?We've signed up with them!?Don't believe me??Then I guess you'll be wanting to see some ID!We will be going on this exciting adventure in July for four weeks!?We do not?yet know for sure which hospital we will be working in but it will probably either be: Mareeba, Atherton, Herberton or?Innisfail.?These are all?small country hospitals which are located 2 hours out of Cairns!?I'm pretty excited because I have never been to Cairns before but I've always wanted to go!?Kerrie and I are going to tour Cairns on our days off!?My friend Louise who lives in Darwin is going to fly in and join us!(Louise and I...sorry, I don't have a photo of Kerrie yet)
For those of you who don't know where Darwin, Cairns and Brisbane are...When Kerrie and I aren't attending to the patients!?We will be?kicking back?with Louise in Cairns and getting up to all kinds of fun!?Here's my "to-do" list:
I want to do a?rafting tour?of the Barron River...I'd love to also do a?trip on the infamous Kuranda rail....And a ride on the Kuranda Sky Rail...Snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef is a definite!And if you think I'm riding out to the Great Barrier Reef on board the boring boat, think again!?I'm jumping on the boom net!?Wahoo...I reckon a?tour of the Cairns terrain on a Quad bike would be awesome too...I'm sure there is plenty more fun stuff to do!?I can't wait! |

Very exciting news about the ball!I'VE BOUGHT MY DRESS!!!!It's a little red number!?It goes in a V at the front and back!?I tried to find a similar picture to show you but I couldn't find anything quite like it!?Okay I found this, my dress is kinda similar to this but a bit different:It shows a bit of cleavage (but not too much) and accentuates my curves!?I don't know that I look that great in it but I took?the dress?over to my grandad and?tried it on for?him and he said I looked "beautiful" (he would probably say that if I was covered in mud though!).I've got the shoes, the bag and the jewellery - THE LOT!?I've decided I'm going to do my hair with big GHD curls and I'll have fairly natural make up but heavy eye make-up!What do we all think!?!?!?Any suggestions would be great!?I don't dress up very often!LATEST PURCHASE
I bought a new you beaut camera!?An Olympus MJU 1020!It's very small and compact and it's 10.1 mega pixel and x 7 optical zoom!?I love it!?Gosh I'm good to myself sometimes!FOR A LAUGH!Someone who I used to be friends with in high-school added these pics to my Facebook album for me!?Check em out!(that's me on the right, in the green top)
