| Today is final trial prep day.?My client will be in this afternoon to go over all, and I have my fingers crossed that she will get the hang of things.?Hopefully the douchebag, game-playing, full of himself defense lawyer will come up with the money I need to settle the case this afternoon, or at the latest, tomorrow morning when we conference the case with the Judge before starting.?Of course, the Judges here in NY are on slowdown in protest of the legislature's refusal to give them a pay raise, so we may wind up waiting for a day or two for a Judge.?Lucky us.? Anyway, the bottom line is that I have work to do, so I thought I would leave you with some photos of stuff that grows on my property through no fault of my own.?None of these items was planted by me, they just show up year after year.?I suspect a couple are weeds, but they make for purty photos.?? ? ? ? ? ? ? By the way, the frog was a gift from my mom.?I found two of them sitting on my deck one Friday when I drove up while they were staying at the house.? |
| I found two of them sitting on my deck one Friday when I drove up while they were staying at the house.?I hated them.?Until I planted them in the gardeny area, and they kind of work there.?He seems content.?Content is good.Well, the case just settled.?My client will be in within the hour to sign papers.?Settled for our low number, but it's an ok amount that I can live with and not feel like she got totally short changed.Of course, my fee is short changed, but aint that always the case!?Quite frankly, I'm just glad to get the case off my desk and have some breathing room.And in other developments, my new CT kitchen cabinets are being delivered next Monday, so with a little luck, but the weekend of May 13, I will have a new kitchen to enjoy for a few weeks before selling the house!Now I have time to ponder the alter sacrifice for the loverman gods as suggested by my good friend LoneCub! |
