| I get A LOT of letters from girls and boys who ask me how I am so confident...My answer is always "I dont really know" It just is something I have grown to learn and feel...I think it has to do with the fact that I grew up in the limelight and no matter what my size or appearence, people were looking at me. So, it didnt matter...People dont really care when you come from a famous family!!So, I lucked out and had 2 parents that didnt care about that kind of shit.So, my point to all this is: I got a letter from a girl named Manda and this is what she wrote : "hi, i dont know if you read all of your messages from people on here, but either way i just wanted to let you know that I read every bulletin and watch every video that you post, and every one of them I think has changed me in some way.Being a big girl myself, ive always had self- esteem issues, and i never felt pretty, or comfortable in my own skin, but after watching the videos that you post, i have a new respect for myself, and my outer appearance.Ive realized that I only have one body, and I have it for the rest of my life, so I might as well embrace it, and love every inch of it, and I truly do.And I thank you for being an inspiration and a role model for so many girls, and probably even some guys too lol but i truly think that you are a wonderful person, and youre so beautiful and talented.so even if you dont get around to reading this, i just felt like i needed to get these things out, and let you know.so if you do read this, thank you so much.love, Manda :]"I was touched by her words of strength... |
| love, Manda :]"I was touched by her words of strength...I wish everyone could feel this way about themselves and self-worth...So, I wanted to make a forum here for you guys to post your stories of self-esteem and self-worth.And how you feel about yourselves.If you are in love with the way you are then tell us... if you hate yourself then tell us...We all need to hear the stories because they help us so much....Sometimes we feel so alone because the real people in our lives just dont understand where we are coming from, so we look elsewhere for understanding...Let this be the place where you come to be understood and find answers you never knew you would find...Im getting too deep so I'll just end with this: We are beautiful because it comes from within, not because someone else decides what beauty is...Find it in yourself and you will see the world with different eyes...You just need to find that key inside you to unlock the real world you live in.Screw anyone who tells us differently!!!Love, Life & Metal-Mia |
